Apple Scones

1 medium cooking apple
250g self-raising flour
Pinch of salt
Level teaspoon of baking powder
60g butter
60g caster sugar
Up to 150ml milk
Demerara sugar
Chop apple.
Sift flour, salt, baking powder.
Rub in butter.
Mix sugar and apple.
Add milk until you have a soft dough.
Place on a greased baking tray.
Brush with milk and sugar.
Oven ’til ready.
