I modified this Fisher-Price cassette player a few years ago. I recently found a similar player for 50p at my local car boot sale. As well as the motor speed control I also added a circuit to create a vibrato effect by varying the speed of the motor. Version 2 is here.

It was World Pinhole Day yesterday. This motivated me to finally finish and test my baked bean tin pinhole camera. I processed the film using this simple method, which amazingly combines household items, including vitamin C and instant coffee, to develop the negative film.

I installed 8 x 3mm bright white LEDs in the earpiece of this old telephone handset. Pictures here.

Cross Processing (X-Pro) is the technique of intentionally processing film in the ‘wrong’ chemicals. Usually, shooting slide film and processing it using colour negative chemicals (C-41). This procedure is fairly unpredictable, generally producing unusual colours and high contrast. I recently cross-processed a roll of Kodak EBX 100 slide film (shot on my Smena Symbol).

I acquired a bunch of these Findus Loudhailers about a year ago. I finally got round to bending one. I still have about 20 unmodified Loudhailers waiting to be opened. More information here.
