I installed a LTC1799 variable oscillator in this Yamaha DD-6 drum machine. This changes the pitch of the sound without altering the tempo of the beat. I got the oscillator from Tirna Electronics. They soldered the wee surface mount chip on a DL adapter so I could easily work with it on regular strip-board. I also added a bunch of bends to activate various glitches and distortions.
